Our mission is to enhance the quality of life, physical comfort, safety, transport, provide & support cultural/traditional services, communication, health, nutrition, and spiritual well-being in order to promote strong work ethics, personal independence, and a sense of Family, Culture and Community for the NUCHIU.
These services of the sub division(s) of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Community Services Department provides opportunities to the abilities to help yourself and /or for the betterment of the tribe.

Public Works Program
The mission of the Public Works Program is to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for the Ute Mountain Ute Community (Towaoc and White Mesa). Public services will be provided in the most cost efficient and timely manner, while maintaining the highest quality and standards possible.

Planning & Development Department
The mission of the Planning & Development Department is to provide greater opportunities for the sustainability & for the well-being of the Nuchu together with community improvements & continuous life safety enhancements that will be in keeping with the highest traditions of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribal culture and generally improve the quality of life on the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation.

The mission of the Information Service Program AKA: Echo Department is to serves both the Towaoc and White Mesa communities with local news, community information and special events coverage. The Echo Department also provides the Ute Mountain Tribe with the opportunity to express their freedom of speech.
